We are the West Linn mole trappers that can stop your mole dirt mounds. Mole's are active year round in Oregon which means they are constantly creating new tunnels. When they dig these tunnels they need somewhere to dump the extra soil. That is why dirt mounds pop up all over the place. If you do not remove the moles, you can count on them continuing to build new tunnels.
There are many different types and methods to use when trapping moles in West Linn. We have found that for us the best traps are the victor scissor traps. They are placed underground in the main tunnel ways. It is important to set the traps on these or you are wasting your time. They can be found by probing the ground around fresh dirt mounds. Depending on the amount of damage on your property we normal set between 4-12 traps for a residential yard. For large West Linn mole control jobs we will set more traps as needed.
It is common for people to be confused with what type of animal is creating dirt mounds in your yard. We often show up for jobs that people think they have moles, but they end up being gopher damage. They require a different type of trap because they are so much bigger. In West Linn it is likely that the type of mole you are dealing with is the townsend mole. These are found throughout the Pacific Coast of the United States.
